"28 Days Later: The Bone Temple" is a visceral film that will either convince you that a zombie movie can have substance or else make you wonder if the people praising the film are zombies themselves.

Although the middle story of planned-in-advance trilogies rarely work out well as individual projects, The Bone Temple bucks the trend by working as its own individual project and coming across as a little better than its not-exactly-shabby predecessor.

While gripping, well-made and genuinely scary, its graphic and sadistic violence approaches the level of torture porn.

I don’t think Bone Temple, the second in a proposed trilogy, matches its predecessor, but it stands as a wild and weird sequel that holds its own, providing you like your horror served with a helping of gore.
